You will learn how to efficiently maintain a grain mill. Learn about basic mechanical and electrical maintenance organization. How to change rolls and bearings, electrical fault finding and general machine maintenance. 

But this isn’t just theoretical training. You will also spend time in front of the machines, learning how to maintain them. You will also be able to take a close up look at some of the latest milling machines to see how they work.

Basic mechanical and electrical knowledge and technical skills. This course is well suited to mechanical and electrical maintenance staff.

Matthias Lanzrein

Milling Academy

Matthias'  primary areas of expertise are the mechanical maintenance trainings. Depending on the level or the job function of the course participants, the program may vary in content. Parts of the program can be customized in advance. This way the participants are getting what they need to know in order to maintain the milling equipment.

Matthias gained a lot of experience throughout his professional career. Such as the many years of experience abroad in the field of assembly, conversions and services come in very handy when teaching the customers.

Roman Dürr

Milling Solutions Training Center

Roman covers all aspects of automation from installation to maintenance and advanced process plant operation. He trains at our training centre and onsite.
Roman started his career with an apprenticeship, followed by a bachelor’s degree in automation. He is experienced in software development and worldwide project management. He started training with us and at the Swiss Milling School in 2006.

Infrastructure and amenities

Milling Academy

You will be based at our Milling Academy hall. Your classroom is situated right next to our milling floor, where you can explore and have a close-up look at many of our latest milling machines.

School mill

For practical experience, you will spend time at our fully operational and fully equipped school mill. Use many of the latest milling machines and learn how to perform maintenance on them in a normal industrial environment.

Lounge

Spacious and comfortable lounge for breaks, including complimentary tea and coffee.

The training was delivered in a clear and practical way. It was tailored to our skills and needs.
